Seller: Star Cat Books, Bradford, VT, U.S.A.
Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Gilbert, John Clitheroe (illustrator). 2nd Edition. This book was named by Ronald Reagan as one of his favorites, and for helping shape his spiritual consciousness. More than a century after it was written, reader reviews indicate it is still moving readers' hearts today. First printed in 1902/3, That Printer of Udell's was brought out in a second edition in 1911. No printing is specified for this copy, though a gift inscription on the front end paper is from 1922. The edition has a light green cover with red letters and black accenting. The pastedown picture on the front cover is lightly worn but still clear, and the four interior illustrations are present and clean. There is considerable wear to spine and cover edges, with bumping. The front hinge is loose, but the pages are tight. Beyond age-related yellowing, some liquid spill in the past has left traces at the tops of the pages, but text and pictures are not affected by this. This will make a nice reading or loaning copy for someone who likes to feel that they are getting back to the origin of a much-loved book. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall.
