Vol. I & II are large folios, III and IV are large quartos, all bound in army green buckram with muted gilt to spine. Some plates folding, some in red and black, Vol. I has folding map in rear pocket. Vol. I & II have the plates and numerous text figures. Vol. I is 1939, Vol. II is 1949. Vol. III is 1950; Vol IV is 1953. Vol. II has extensive pencil notes. Condition is quite good. Some normal wear, corners lightly rubbed, spines very slightly faded. Colours of fabric on the volumes varies just slightly. Vol. I has a gift inscription in German from Austrian historian Fritz Schachermeyr to Canadian classicist Konrad Kinzl. There are light notes in all volumes but Vol. II has extensive pencil notes in one section with some underlining in ink. There is also a letter in German from Schachermeyr discussing some points of interest in the Greek. Except for the notes by Kinzl, the set is clean and nice. Texts are in Greek, else English. Hard to find complete and nice to find with such a provenance. Heavy and oversized for shipping. ; Folio 13" - 23" tall.
