Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. Cover art by Pat Carey (illustrator). 1st Edition. Not a book but a 12-inch, 33-1/3 rpm vinyl record, Liberty "Long Playing Microgroove Spectra-Sonic Sound The Ultimate in High Fidelity" (mono) LRP-3059, near-mint vinyl in a near-mint glossy color cardboard jacket. (The green-label disc is also in its original clear plastic inner sleeve.) NON-authorial Christmas 1959 gift inscription to top of jacket verso. Ms. Fields -- of Rochdale, Lancastershire -- was "Our Gracie," possibly to differentiate her from America's Gracie Allen. She did indeed travel to America, made some films for 20th Century Fox, and then undertook "the grueling business of entertaining troops in World War II" -- additionally financing free public transport for servicemen within the boundaries of Rochdale. Here, she offers Noel Coward's "London Pride," as well as "Nature Boy," "Sally in Our Alley," "How Are Things in Glocca Mora," etc. This record catalogs $40; we started at $24, now reduced to $10.00.
