Illustrated with black and white photographs and sketches throughout, including a portrait of Partington opposite the title page. This interesting volume is an extensive catalogue of books, maps and pictures belonging to the collector James Edge Partington. Partington amassed artifacts, books, rare prints and engravings related to the indigenous cultures of the Pacific. This book records prices paid for the items listed, and it contains a detailed index. It certainly makes an interesting reference source. This book was previously owned by Lieutenant Commander Andrew David and has his bookplate on the front free end paper.
