Hard Cover. A study of causes and results of Ireland's troubles, as seen from the middle 1800s. Green cloth with gilt embossed titling and decoration on spine, blind stamped decoration on front and back, coloured end papers, plain black border on each page of text, 12 pages of publisher's advertising at back of book. Corners, edges and spine ends worn, corners bumped, spine cover is partially separated from front cover at gutter. First endpaper has been removed and front hinge separated/ cover detached. Covers rubbed (spine titling nearly rubbed off) and slightly faded, text block edges darkened with light foxing spots, front edge of text block has small circular black mark, most pages have foxing spots, particularly at edges, first few and last few pages have more foxing spots, top corner of title page has been torn away where previou's owners name was. 346 pages.
