Ouvrage orné de cinq gravures, 1 vol. in-8 br., Librairie Académique Perrin et Cie, 1912, XVI-399 pp. Bon état (rouss. sur tranches, très bon état par ailleurs) pour cet ouvrage qui parut tout d'abord sous la forme d'un numéro spécial de la revue Pays de Granville, en 1910, avant d'être republié dans la présente édition. Le personnage traité dans cet ouvrage, Jean-Baptiste Le Carpentier (1759-1829) était un député du département de la Manche, à la Convention. Lors des guerre de Vendée, il organisa en particulier la défense de Granville, assiégée par les Vendéens ("virée de Galerne"). A la Restauration, il fut arrêté comme régicide (il avait voté la mort du roi) et mourut dans la prison du Mont Saint-Michel. Langue: Français.
