Loosely inserted arew three letters to Mr. W. A. Jefford from the assistant general secretary of the London Typographical Society, The British Federation of Master Printers Technical Secretary. The Regional Advisory Council for Technological Education London & Home Counties - In 1958/59 re his retirement Superannuation Fund. Each letter signed. In addition there is a list of contributors - a mss article titled "He Used Machines for His Tool's by W. A. Jefford at the N. W. P. London. He writes about Leonard Jay 3pp. in a neat hand. The final item loosely inserted is an autographed page signed by 22 people.

Preface to the first combined edition, by Harold Forrester; Book 1 (The Private Papers of a Bankrupt Bookseller), Book 2 (The Bankrupt Bookseller Speaks Again). Condition notes: An excellent copy: nice color retention to boards and dust jacket; binding slight cocked, spine ends rolled; price-clipped jacket shows light wear with several small closed tears and chips. Interior tanned but unmarked. Among the chapter titles: The Bookseller's Cat; An American Lady; When I am Dead; Books no Decent Bookseller would Keep; Regret; and so on. Delightful. Originally published in the 1930s as two separate novellas. We personally inspect every book we offer.
