Hardcover. Condition: Good. xxi, unpaginated. 24.5 cm green cloth hardcover. 2 b&w illustrations. Green cloth has a little discolouration. Tear in front free endpaper. Title continues: "A National Wedding Present from Wm. Perkins Bull, K. C. To His Son Michael Bull, B.A., Oxon., Barrister of the Inner Temple and his Bride Noreen Hennessy On the occasion of their visit (while on their honeymoon) to the Parental Home, Lorne Hall, Rosedale, Toronto, Canada, where Michael was born." The quintessential "Renaissance man," William Perkins Bull practiced law, was an astute businessman, advised politicians on national affairs, and was an avid Freemason who served as Master of an important lodge. In 1931, Bull was involved in a serious car accident. During his convalescence, he decided to try his hand at writing a brief family history to help pass the time. That was when the William Perkins Bull Historical Series was born. This volume lists the contents of the author's Canadiana collection, presented on the occasion of his son's wedding. "It is called a catalogue, but it is really a friendly method of bringing together a number of Canadian authors and introducing them to my son and to his friends" (p. xii).
