Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. Five Volume Set with slipcase. First printing of First edition in English. The original was published in Danish. Slipcase shows wear but the volumes themselves are in excellent condition. 9.80 X 5.90 X 4.20 inches. It includes a history of the Jewish rebellions against Rome, starting before Masada up to and including the Bar Kochba' rebellion against Rome and the setting up of what turned out to be a short lived independent Jewish state, which minted its own coins etc. A Roman general who quelled the rebellious Celts in Britain and the Teutons in Germany was brought in to suppress the Jewish state. The set continues with Jewish history up to and including the founding of the modern state of Israel. Packed it weighs six pounds, so shipping it out of the United States would be costly.
