Corners are bumped and a little frayed Spine ends are crushed, with noticeable splits and chips. Light tanning to spine and edges.

Corners bumped with a bit of cardboard exposed there, approximately ¼ inch fraying at head and foot of spine, some soil on cloth, spine and much of the cloth faded. Internally, previous owner's inscription and partially erased pencil marks on endpapers, paper lightly age yellowed ands foxed, 1 or 2 dogears, otherwise tight, clean, relatively crisp and unmarked. Story, apparently set in England, about an awkward looking girl who had been a beggar in New York City, learned about Christ, and tried to better her situation. Children's; Victorian; religion.
