Book
Hardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. Brown quarter binding with faded gilt titles on the top of the spine. There is some fraying of the top and bottom spine cloth. There is a slit in the cloth down the rear edge of the spine and the rear board. The cloth could easily be pasted down and the book would look fine The book has a slight lean to it. The boards are decorated with a floral and bird illustrations in black and brown coloring over a background that looks like tie-dyed silk with brown and gray/blue streaks. The boards are quite spectacular and hint of an exotic story. Corners are pretty good give the age with maybe a hint of rubbing. There is a book plate from a personal library on front paste down. Some penciled writing on the paste down and FEP. There is a perforation of about 1" on the rear end paper. The hinges are still in good shape, but the book should be handled with care. Text block is heavily toned, particularly at the top. Pages are toned. No other marks.
