Deirdra Baldwin?s previous books include Gathering Time, Emerging Detail, Inside Outside, Excuse, and Totemic, which were small collections of poems published by regional literary presses. Her individual poems have appeared in literary magazines including Ploughshares and New Directions. She has written more than forty articles for the net, which range from practical to satirical subjects, and is the writer, producer, and director of the satirical audio series, Eddie de Taos. She was a finalist for the prestigious Discovery Award for young poets very early in her career, was a founder of the small press Word Works, and is a recipient of two Wurlitzer Fellowships for excellence in writing. She was granted by the National Endowment for the Arts as a poet in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
