A cura di Giuseppe Albertotti Professore nella R. Università di Padova. Riproduzione di un disegno del Cav. Pietro Leone Ghezzi raffigurante il Cordara posto in antiporta e protetto da velina. Tavola in fac-simile di una pagina autografa del poemetto. Dedica autografa dell'Albertotti all'occhietto. Frontespizio e brossura a stampa bicolore. Bibliografia al fondo. Bella edizione stampata con carta di pregio. Interessante ed importante figura quella dell'Albertotti, studioso e medico, tra i suoi pazienti anche l'amico Gabriele D'Annunzio dopo il noto incidente aereo che lesionò il suo occhio. Bella ed elegante brossura editoriale a stampa arancione con il titolo entro una bordura riccamente figurata e la dedica manoscritta dell' Autore in alto a destra. Con 6 belle illustrazioni xilografate n.t. Ottimo esemplare ancora completamente a fogli chiusi. Unica edizione di questo offprint degli "Annali di ottalmologia e clinica oculistica diretti dai professori Cirincione e Rampoldi", anno L (nuova serie, VI). L'invenzione degli occhiali era stata attribuita al frate pisano Alessandro Della Spina e ad altri inventori ancora, e, fra il Seicento e il Settecento, furono fabbricati ad arte documenti per avallare tali paternità in nome del pisano o fiorentino; le serrate dimostrazioni del dedicatario dell' opuscolo, il grande erudito e storico della letteratura Isidoro Del Lungo, smantellarono appunto tale false attribuzioni ed i documenti falsificati o distorti in tale senso.
In 4 (cm 23 x 32), pp. 87 + (3) con 1 lettera in facsimile di scrittura nel testo a pagina 8, 2 tavole fuori testo, riproduzioni fotografiche in bianco/nero nel testo. Pagine intonse. Dedica autografa al piatto anteriore. Piatto posteriore e dorso rifatti con carta d'epoca, vedutina di Calamandrana (Asti) al piatto anteriore.
