I began my career by selling American computer products. I switched to law enforcement by joining the Frontier Police of the then North West province of Pakistan through a competitive exam in which I secured 3rd position out of 1400 applicants. I served with distinction in the United Nations missions in Bosnia and East Timor. I served for more than three decades as a cop, but kept upgrading my educational and professional skills. I availed the prestigious International Visitors' Leadership Program of the Department of State, US Government. I qualified the forensic interviewing course from Canadian Police College, Ottawa. Besides my Bachelor's degree and MPA from Quaid-i-Azam University, I availed the Britannia Chevening Scholarship for my MA(ECON) in Public Policy (First Position) from the University of Manchester and AUSAID Scholarship for Masters in Transnational Crime Prevention (Distinction) from University of Wollongong, Australia. I did my PhD from the University of Bradford, UK. I teach Economics and Accounting at Bradford.
