Vivian Zhou

Vivian Zhou is a Chinese-Canadian cartoonist and illustrator based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She graduated from the Bachelor of Animation program at Sheridan College, and subsequently pivoted to graphic novels to continue pursuing her love for visual storytelling. She loves writing stories filled with magic, and her work often blends fantasy with personal narratives.

She is best known for being the creator of the graphic novels “Atana and the Firebird” and “Atana and the Jade Mermaid”. When she isn’t working on graphic novels, she can often be found making short comics for zines and comic anthologies.
