Trees of Hope

Trees of Hope is a non-profit organization with a two-fold mission: to prevent sexual abuse and to help survivors of abuse heal.

A survivor founded the organization, which grew from a meeting in a living room with five women to a powerful organization reaching thousands through its prevention and healing programs.

The prevention efforts of Trees of Hope primarily focus on developing age-appropriate educational publications and curriculum for children and prevention workshops for adults and caregivers. On the healing side of the organization, Trees of Hope offers individual support and studies, healing support groups, and online learning programs designed for teens, women, and men.

Trees of Hope has several authors who contribute to producing its prevention and healing curriculum. Nicole Escobar is currently the Executive Director of Trees of Hope. As a survivor, she is committed to educating people on practical ways to prevent sexual abuse and implementing effective ways to promote healing. To achieve this mission, she has conducted numerous sexual abuse prevention workshops, authored several prevention resources, organized support groups for victims to aid in their healing process, and currently hosts a podcast called “Not Just a Hashtag.”
