Julie Starr is co-author of the award winning “The Tunic Bible” (C&T Publishing; 2016) and “A Stylish Guide to Classic Sewing” (C&T Publishing; 11/2019). Her professional career in custom luxury home building on Kiawah Island, SC provides a skill set which translates easily to classic garment design and construction. The natural beauty of South Carolina’s lowcountry beaches, tidal marsh and diverse flora and fauna, along with the history and charm of historic Charleston are reflected in her work and provide much of her design inspiration.
