Nicholas “Nick” Arthur Roussos (1975-present) is an author, and motivational speaker in Northern Colorado. His mission focuses on sparking a shift in the popular perception of the ‘differently abled’ through demonstration and experiential learning. Born and raised in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (in East Africa), Nick went on to attend middle school in England, and then moved to Colorado for high school. He currently lives in the Sweetheart City, Loveland, Colorado.
Nick learned at an early age that circumstances do not define a person. As a man who uses a wheelchair to move and a computerized device to communicate, he sparks a shift in the popular “disabled” perception through his personal activities and accomplishments. Nick enjoys spending time with his family and friends and their pets; attending theatre productions; participating in marathons and triathlons through Athletes in Tandem; and water skiing and snow skiing with Adaptive Recreation Opportunities (ARO) in Fort Collins. He is passionate about community involvement. He loves volunteering at schools, where he reads, shares his own stories, and promotes disability awareness through customized presentations.
Nick is excited to continue his children’s book series featuring his inner superhero, and showing kids that they, too, can be heroes.
