Bio- Regina Allen-Wilson, Ph.D.

Ms. Allen-Wilson is an award winning author, poet, motivational speaker and Life Coach. She has been featured on talk radio, published in municipal news, gospel magazines, and local newspapers (The Chicago Defender newspaper) and numerous anthologies for her writings.

Ms. Allen-Wilson has written five books to date. These five books include topics on self-worth, self-esteem, faith, love, spirituality, and unique friendship ships. Her books: 1) "Something About My Face," (An illustrated children's book on- motivation and self-esteem), has won two awards: Family Magazine 2010 Publisher's Choice Award (Los Angeles, Ca.) and Young Voices Foundation (YVF) 2010 Silver and Blue Ribbon Award for being family friendly, educational, and motivational.. 2) "From Raindrops to Rainbows - A Spiritual Journey;" ( Is a book on perseverance and faith, with biblical scriptures and original poetry); 3) "The Love Inside Me - A - Poetic Diary" (Is a "true" life account and journal of four decades captured in poetry from the authors personal diary since age 12. It contains original poetry and life lessons of faith and courage. This book and the author were featured as "Poet of the Month in a full page article in a prominent Chicago newspaper - The Chicago Daily Defender April 1996. That same year Ms. Allen-Wilson received one of the greatest surprises of her life - an autographed picture and personal note from her "Her hero" - Dr. Maya Angelou regarding her book (she had sent her a copy of after hearing her speak at an event). It is one of her most treasured possessions!! 4) "Jeannie's Great Adventures" (A true life account of loving and humorous stories growing up as a "middle" child. The struggles and the love a middle child had in a family unit of seven people, in a cramped 3.5 room Public Housing Development apartment in Chicago in the early 60's with lots of love! 5) "Bobo and The Pooch" (A fully illustrated children's book) on friendship, diversity and inclusion.

Ms. Allen-Wilson academic credentials include a Doctorate of Humanities and Religious Studies, Masters in Business Administration and Bachelors in Human Resource Management and an Honorary Doctorate of Religious Literature. She holds several professional certificates/awards of achievement in leadership development, marketing counseling, training, and planning. Ms. Allen-Wilson is also a certified Victims' Advocate and Life Coach. She received the Strathmore's 2015 Lifetime Who's Who Award in Leadership. She received the "2014 Inspirational Woman" Leadership award from Women's Radio Network. She was a recipient of the (NAPW) National Association of Professional Women 2010/2011 "Business Woman of the Year" award. She is a member of (SPAA) Speakers, Publishers & Authors Association. Ms. Allen-Wilson is a member of the Academy of American Poets, The American Poets Society, National Black Writers Association, National Association of Female Executives (NAFE); she is a member of (SHRM) Society of Human Resource Management. She received a "Resolution Award" from the mayor (Mayor Richard M. Daley) of Chicago, Illinois (2007) for her compassion and contributions to the needy residents of the city. She was awarded the "Poet Fellow" - Noble House of London, England (2007).

Ms. Allen-Wilson has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to her continuous education as well as inspiring the development of others. She has donated her books to various Children's hospitals and schools so that children can be inspired and encouraged. Ms. Allen-Wilson is also a mentor who loves working with inner-city youth and adults helping them express their creative side through writing. She is an active board member of several organizations and is a Middle School reading tutor and volunteer.
