I was born in a farm and ranch community of Seymour, Texas in 1940, but spent my school years in Wichita Falls. In 1958, I joined the Army as a military policeman and spent the next twenty years in the military. In 1982, my wife and I started ECHOES a hobby magazine for pulp enthusiasts and published the magazine for twenty-two years. I have been a long time fan of SF, mystery, westerns, and action adventure novels. I became interested in writing fiction in 1965, but did not pursue it except for magazine and newspaper articles, until my first nonfiction book was published in 1980. Since then I have written works in several genres, including nonfiction and short stories.
