Kathryn Hockett

Kathryn Hockett is the pseudonym used by the mother/daughter writing team of Marcia (Vickery) Hockett and Kathy Kramer. The name Kathryn Hockett is a combination of both names. Originally Marcia aided her daughter in doing historical research but as time went on she also began to plot some of the stories. This "brainstorming" on various projects merges their experiences and points of view and brings more creativity to each story. In this case the saying "two heads are better than one" has certainly proven to be true.

The Rocky Mountain area of the United States - Boulder, Colorado is their hometown. They have won the Romantic Times Reviewer's Choice Awards several years in a row. Marcia won the Romance Mother of the Year award.

Kathryn began writing in 1982 and by 1984 had sold her first historical romance novel - LOVE'S BLAZING ECSTASY. That was followed by FLAME FROM THE SEA and DESIRE'S MASQUERADE. Under the pseudonym Katherine Vickery, she published FLAME OF DESIRE which won the ROMANTIC TIMES Reviewer's Choice Award.

In 1988 her mother Marcia, who had been aiding her daughter in historical research also began writing. Together as Kathryn Hockett they published several romances -- concentrating on Westerns-- utilizing family history for the facts and fiction. Both Kathy and Marcia believe that history is molded by the strength of families.
