Thomas Cosgrove started his writing career as a reporter for a major Los Angeles newspaper and worked for many years as a technical writer for the aerospace industry. Later he was promoted to the professional staff at TRW Systems and was an integral part of the Minuteman Missile project and later the Star Wars laser effort. Tom's first novel, The Last Climb, was published by Simon & Schuster. The Stone Sanctum is currently available on Amazon.com and from the Kindle Library. Soon to be published is "Kringle," a delightful but thought-provoking Christmas story that takes place in New York and reflects the complexities and intrigues of the modern investment world. Cosgrove's climbing career includes principal peaks in the Colorado and Canadian Rockies, the Cascade Range and over 400 ascents in the Sierra Nevada, including guiding the face of Mount Whitney. At the age of 50 he conquered Mount McKinley/Denali. Throughout the years, Tom has climbed mountains around the world including summits in the Cordillera Blanca in Peru and the Himalayas of Bhutan. More recently Tom summited in the Andes of Argentina. When not climbing mountains, Tom can be found enjoying the beautiful beaches near his home in San Juan Capistrano, California and playing with his dogs. Tom's love of animals and the preservation of California's natural wonders remain his passion.
