Meena Kandasamy

Meena Kandasamy is a poet and anti-caste activist based in South India. Her novel, When I Hit You, was shortlisted for the Women's Prize, Jhalak Prize and Dylan Thomas Prize. She has written for Al Jazeera, Guardian and Financial Times. In 2022, Meena was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and awarded the PEN Herman Kesten Prize for being a 'fearless fighter for human rights.'
