About this Item
A small hand-coloured copper engraving dating to between 1820-1830 (later would have been a steel engraved view) of a view of San Francisco from the hillside with the harbour and bay in the distance. Some edge browning up to but not actually on the image itself, no artist/engraver, no publisher, just the titles along the base. Measures approx 4.5 x 6.5 inches to outer edge and 5.5 x 6.7 inches to mount edge., taped to the mount at the back, not removed. Pretty view of the pre-industrialized settlement.
