Circa 1890 Original lithographic letterhead advertising design proof on paper. Designed by either Ben Johnson & Company of York or George McCorquodale of Leeds, as this came to us in a collection comprising proofs and original works by both. Single sided. Measures a little under 7.75" wide x 2.5" (20cm x 6.5cm). Some relatively light tanning to left and right flanks. Surface residue to rear centre and corners, where it has been fixed down at some point. Remains a very good original survivor, nonetheless.
