Original Master Print, untitled. A landscape with a farm. Posthumous impression made by his close friend Andreas Schotel. Landscape. Etching on wove paper. Made by 'Johannes Proost' after own design. Johannes Proost (1882-1942) was active as artist in Rotterdam. He was also active in the Communist party and played a role in the pre-war Comintern meetings. Proost died in the concentration-camp Oranienburg. Good, given age. Ample margins, some foxing and discoloration. Remains of paper from previous attachment on front. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully. The overall size is ca. 28.3 x 26.4 cm. The image size is ca. 21.9 x 17.8 cm.
