This is a fine print taken in 1985 from the original 1791 copper plate of this fine view of the church at Horbury designed by John Carr, architect. It is a splendid printing on hand-made paper. image size 24" x 19". The engraver Thomas Malton (1748-1804) was born in London, a notable architectural draughtsman and writer on geometry. The architect of the church John Carr (1723?1807) was born in Horbury and is interred within his church there. In his day he was considered to be the leading architect in the north of England designing many well known buildings. Enquiries welcome. Seller Inventory # 060268
