About this Item
Apparently a realistic watercolour of a waterside houses at Wroxham, Norfolk on the Broads - presumably bordering the River Bure. Dated 1808. No signature but an S motif to the left of the date.Towards the right side is the stern of a wherry (?) on the river bank and details of a low wall to the right and several buildings in the foreground. Frame measures 38x30cm (15" x 13") whilst the picture is 25x16cms (9"x6") .Possibly about Horning Ferry?A note on the rear of the frame records that it was sold as Lot 484 in Key's Sale on 14-4-1988. In VG condition - only a little faded and minimal toning/foxing.See Scans. Seller Inventory # 012397
