About this Item
A unique example of this rare Sydney Long etching printed in sepia, of Cranbrook School, not found in any institutional collection. Title at left, 'Cranbrook School', at centre, 'To Frank Little Esq', signed at lower right. No edition number noted. On 'T & T H Kent'., watermarked paper. As the etching was printed c.1928, the Frank Little that it's dedicated to is not Archbishop of Melbourne Frank Little (1925-2008) Mendelssohn includes 'Cranbrook' in the Alphabetical Index to Catalogue of Etchings on page 200, stating; Footnote (ii), we have been unable to find that footnote.
