Antique print, titled: 'L'interieur de la ste. Vierge.' - The holy Virgin. Source unknown, to be determined. Ref: LeBl. 7 Engraving on laid paper. Made by 'Nicolas Bazin' after 'Jean Baptiste de Cany'. Nicolas Bazin (1633-1710) was a pupil of Claude Mellan. This very religious publisher worked in Paris, mainly specialising in religious images. He even invented a devotional image with specific dimensions. Jean Baptiste de Cany (? -1693). Good, given age. Thread margins. Remains of paper from previous attachment on rear. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully. The overall size is ca. 19.4 x 25.8 cm. The image size is ca. 19 x 25.3 cm.
