Size in inch: The overall size is ca. 4.3 x 6.9 inch. The image size is ca. 3.5 x 4.9 inch.Plate: 'Der Waldbrand.' (The forest fire). A forest fire in Algiers, Algeria in 1849. This very scarse plate originates from: 'Panorama der merkwurdigsten Reiseabenteuer zu wasser und zu lande oder kampfe mit naturereignissen, wilden menschen, thieren u.s.w. treu und fasslich erzahlt von Hermann Fritsche.' (transl.: Overview of the most curious travel adventures by water or land or fights with nature events, wild people, animals etc. correct and lively told by Hermann Fritsche.), published in Dresden by C.G. Pictura Prints offers mostly antique prints, art, maps and books. Since 2004 the owner Peter Cornelissen started Theprintscollector and has been in business as a print and book seller. In 2018 he decided to further develop his personal collection through 'Pictura Prints'. Peter has a background in design and landscape architecture and holds a degree in paper restauration. He holds shop in Overasselt, a small town on the Maas river near Nijmegen, The Netherlands, which can be visited by appointment. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Antiquarians (NVVA) and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB).

We ship worldwide and package our items meticulously. We carry an umbrella insurance policy. Our shipment rates are based on shipments up to 1 kg. For heavier shipments we will contact you with a quote. Currently our surcharge for international shipments over 1 kg is 9,14 euro / kg. In addition POST NL temporarly charges 3,60 euro per kg due to CORONA related logistics. We ship by registered mail through POST NL. Expedited shipping or shipment through another carrier is available on request at a possible surcharge.
