Text page(s) included. This rare attractive original old antique print / plate originates from: 'Dictionnaire Classique des Sciences Naturelles.' (Classic dictionary of natural sciences), by M. Drapiez. published in Brussels, 1853. This work elaborates on the work of Buffon, Daubenton, Lacepede, Cuvier, de Jussieu a.o. Artists and Engravers: Pierre Auguste Joseph Drapiez (1778-1856) was a Belgian naturalist. Engraved by Desmares.Condition: Good, given age. Right edge uneven from bidning. Left margin faintly stained, also a faint stain around the leftmost flower. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. In 2018 he decided to further develop his personal collection through 'Pictura Prints'. Peter has a background in design and landscape architecture and holds a degree in paper restauration. He holds shop in Overasselt, a small town on the Maas river near Nijmegen, The Netherlands, which can be visited by appointment. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Antiquarians (NVVA) and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB).
