Antique Master Print, untitled. Depiction of a rat catcher and his assistant. Copied after the famous print by Cornelis de Visscher. Rat catcher. Engraving on laid paper. Watermark: Figure Made by 'Cornelis Visscher' after 'Daniel Vrijdag'. Daniel Vrijdag (Dutch 1765-1822). Cornelis Visscher (1629-1658) was a famous reproductive engraver, active in Amsterdam. Good, given age. Ample margins, some discoloration. Remains of paper from previous attachment on front. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully. The overall size is ca. 37 x 43.5 cm. The image size is ca. 31 x 37.5 cm. The overall size is ca. 14.6 x 17.1 inch. The image size is ca. 12.2 x 14.8 inch.
