Supplement to the "New Zealand Herald" and "Auckland Weekly News", the main image showing a panoramic view of Auckland from Ponsonby, and coloured advertising for T & F Morrin hardware merchants, Murchie tailors, Brown and Barrrett coffee and spice merchants, bottling rooms, Te Aroha mineral water, Richard Hobbes drapers, clothiers, A D Bartlett watches and clocks, Coylan, Tanfield importers of glass, china, etc., etc. One of the images shows Auckland in 1853 from Queen XSt wahrf. Extremely rare. central wide view of Auckland from the Grand Hotel, and numerous images of Auckland business buildings such as Wilson, McCullagh Importer of General Drapery, George Fowlds Victoria Arcade, Brown, Barrett & Co Coffee & Spice Merchants, vignettes of the Domain, Government House, and the city and port as visualised in 1853, Union Line advertising steamers to Australia, the Pacific and San Francisco, etc. c1880s. Small tear in the 'sky' of one of the images. 98 x 63 cm, free on card. Extremely scarce, large, early advertising poster for Auckland. One of a series. Seller Inventory # 019879
