Charles Burlingame Waite (1860-1929), originally from California, worked in Mexico from 1896 through 1913. Considered one of the most prolific photographers of Mexico during this time period, Waite recorded a vast cross section of Mexican life and landscape including some of the most remote areas. He is often credited for introducing the post card format to the Mexican and produced a large selection of postcard views as well.
