Jack Beddington CBE (1893-1959), who chose the selection of young artists in this book is best known for his work as publicity director for Shell in the 1930s and as head of the Ministry of Information Films Division during World War II. He was keen on encouraging young artists who had yet to make a name of themselves, and the book includes images of work by artists such as Joe (Joseph) Tilson, Fred Yates and Charles Keeping amongst work by many others lesser known but of high quality. To the rear of the book are address and art training details for each artist. Seller Inventory # 008436
