Colour frontispiece, b/w photographs & line illustrations. Cream boards, spine titled in dark brown. Rather tanned and smells of tobacco but a good copy in tanned and used dust-wrapper. A good all-round introduction to angling - flyfishing, coarse, salmon, trout, grayling, perch, pike, roach, barbel, boat and pier fishing, rock and surf fishing, big game fishing and a chapter on the sea and the fly rod. Aimed at a newly mobile audience who had perhaps only fished locally but who could now visit more or less anywhere by train. *What remains of the rear of the dust-wrapper is far worse than what can be seen from the front view of the book. .
