This NF quality book was published in 1917 by A. L. Burt Company. It is 7-9/16" tall and has 242 numbered pages, followed by 14 pages of ads. It is square, extremely clean, free of corner bumps and edge dings; the head and heel of the spine are very lightly bumped with no damage; the bottom edges have very little wear but there is some slight fabric deterioration. The exterior looks quite good. Except for a penciled name on the FFEP and a second name/date penciled on the rear paste down, the interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains of any sort and paper damage of any type. There are no illustrations beyond the frontis. The paper has aged quite well and has only very mild toning and is still very flexible. The G+ quality jacket is moderately soiled, particularly the top 1/2 inch; it also has small edge chips at the lower rear corner and at the head of the spine; then there is the 1" x 1" chip at the heel of the spine that takes out most of the publisher's name.
