Gift quality, first edition hardcover in black cloth covered boards with bright gilt spine title. Tips and spine ends still sharp, hinge papers fine, no names, tears or soil in the 111pp, profusely illustrated text. Pastedowns a tad bubbled from gluing issue when printed. It is barely noticeable but worth mentioning. Dust wrapper is a professional reproduction that shows some foxing in the white background lower portion of front panel. Displays well in new mylar. Loaded with amazing b/w photographs combined with a witty and concise text describe equine athletes the world over. Particulars given for each horse include details of pedigree, characteristics, ownership, riders, and achievements.
