1st ptg. 4to, 243pp. A thorough look at this illustrator, who's career helps to reveal the world of popular culture beween WWI and WWII. In the same class as N.C. Wyeth, Anton Otto Fischer, Harvey Dunn and Frank Schoonover, Koerner provided illustrations for many major writers and the magazines their work appeared in. His studio is now rebuilt in the Buffalo Bill Cody Museum in Cody, Wyoming. Much of his work explored, with rare realism, the world of vanishing Indians and the wild west. Publication price was $35.
