9vols, 8vo (8 3/4" x 5 1/4"), engraved frontispiece portrait, full length portrait engraved after Mr. Hoare's contemporary candid drawing. Full old mottled calf with smooth backs in six compartments divided by gilt roll tooled ornamental bands, the second & third blank for lettering pieces, gilt center & corner ornaments in the rest, gilt frames of roll tooled serpentine broken lines intertwined with gilt leaves on all sides, marbled endpapers. Old calf backs with wear & chipping & some old repairs but all holding, some board reattached with band repairs, corners & edges worn, sides nice, smooth & good with very light wear.
