Green cloth w/white lettering, white and black cover illustration of trees in snow. Minor rub and light bumping to head and heel of spine. Tips of corners rubbed. Three small spots to upper corner of front board. Two previous owner inscriptions to front endpaper and two inked stamps. Text is otherwise clean and bright. Light soil to closed outside edges of text. Frontispiece photograph w/tissue guard and five other black and white photographs throughout. "An account of a woman who had a winter of content not amid the balminess of Florida or of Southern California but amid the rigors of a Canadian winter She lived all alone in a one room shack on a bluff overhanging a lake on an island in Ontario.
