Winter in Algiers and Hotel St George. Published by Curzon, Robey & Co. Undated. It is stated in the pages within however that the hotel was built in 1889, and the photographs seem to date from the early part of the 1900's. Size: 6 1/4 x 7 1/2 inches. Page number: 48. Soft cover. Beige covers decorated with a black line drawing. Many photographs within showing native people, the streets of Algiers, places of interest, a pet jaguar and features of the hotel itself. A promotional brochure it advertises Algiers as a health resort and promotes the facilities that are available to residents - the golf course, library, church, and The English Club. There are letters of recommendation and, on the back page, an advertisement for Cook's European & Oriental Tours. Condition: Very Good. The covers are darkened, foxed and fragile. The base of the spine is missing. The pages are, but for a little foxing, clean. The whole is very lightly creased. Seller Inventory # 000724
