Red with gilt and black lettering,elaborate brown cover and spine decorations of leaves and a drum, black vignette of young Will. Shelfwear, tiny tears head and heel of spine, tips of corners rubbed, darkened strip at heel of front board. Flower decorated endpapers, all edges gilt. Previous owner signature in pencil to second front endpaper. Text is clean and bright, no marks, lightly and evenly tanned. Frontis illustration w/tissue guard and twelve other illustrations.
