Seventh printing. Inscribed by a friend to Erica Jong on the front inside cover. On the facing page Ms. Jong signed her full name. Her address label is also attached to the page. Ms. Jong also underlined or placed parenthetical pen lines on twenty or so pages. The book is in nice condition. You can see the covers in the photos. They are very clean. There isn't any significant wear on them. The book is very solidly bound from cover to cover with nicely tight pages throughout and nicely tight covers as well. The pages are exceptionally clean. Scrolling through, I'm not finding any instances of soiling. Ms. Jong did turn in the top corners of some of the pages she wrote on, so there are creases on these, none reaching the print. I didn't see any other creasing. There are no markings in the book, and no attachments of any kind. 'West with the Night is a 1942 memoir by Beryl Markham, chronicling her experiences growing up in Kenya (then British East Africa) in the early 1900s, leading to celebrated careers as a racehorse trainer and bush pilot there. It is considered a classic of outdoor literature and was included in the United States' Armed Services Editions shortly after its publication. In 2004, National Geographic Adventure ranked it number 8 in its list of the 100 best adventure books.'
