Marshall pulls no punches in this account of the war in Vietnam. The operations, he says, were the worst possible blunders, fought over ground where the enemy continually held the initiative despite the overwhelming firepower of U.S. air strikes and the mobility of American helicopters. This book is also his tribute to the courageous GI's who fought those impossible battles. Bookseller Inventory # 788
