Published in London in 1829 this is a good example of this early English Language translation of Schiller?s ?William Tell?, the book is bound in an old full vellum binding, Measuring 8.5 inches by 5.5 inches approx., 180pp William Tell (German: Wilhelm Tell) is a drama written by Friedrich Schiller in 1804. The story focuses on the legendary Swiss marksman William Tell as well as on the Swiss struggle for independence from the Habsburg Empire in the early 14th century. the vellum is noticeably darkened and marked, with some rubbing wear to spine ends, else is in good solid condition, internally old ownership name to top of title page, lacks blank free front endpaper, endpapers and title page foxed with some mild marking, old ownership name to title page else contents generally clean.
