Dixon, who had sailed under Cook on his third voyage, continued Cook's work along the northwest coast of America, discovering Queen Charlotte Island, Port Mulgrave, Norfolk Bay, and Dixon entrance and Archipelago while continuing down the coast and trading with the Indians. Dixon also visited Hawaii three times during the course of the voyage and made a valuable contribution in the maps.
