About this Item

Hard Cover. Fine/Poor++. Stated First Edition. Orange boards with gray stamping, decorated endpapers. Binding nice, tight, clean, previous owner's name penciled on flyleaf, edges lightly toned. Jacket is missing about 2/3 of the spine, including the part with the title on it, but the front and back covers are whole; top edge of of front cover is chipped and frayed, and there is a chip missing from fold of rear flap, but jacket looks okay encased in mylar. This is a charming, beautifully illustrated book from Dutton's American Woodland Tales series, a Junior Literary Guild selection. "Between the wily mink and an old Negro, Sam, there exists a strange friendship, a kind of kinship, and many times the old man helps the mink escape when the hunters are hot on his trail."Not a remainder copy, not an ex-library copy, not a book-club edition. Stored in cool, odor-free environment. Most books ship within 24 hours. We pack carefully, with moisture protection, bubble wrap, and a cardboard "sandwich" to protect every book and ensure it arrives undamaged. Digital photos available on request for any book.
