1947 signed and inscribed first edition, Wauwatosa Womans' Club (Wauwatosa, Wisconsin), 5 7/8 x 9 inches tall paperbound in blue wraps, title in silver to front cover, 18 pp. Rubbing, edgewear and creasing to covers. Nicely inscribed and signed by the author on the blank front free-endpaper, and signed again by her on the last page of text. Otherwise, apart from minor age toning, a very good copy - clean, bright and unmarked. Scarce. OCLC (No. 13738603) locates only two copies at institutions worldwide, both in Wisconsin. ~SP12~ A brief history of Wauwatosa (originally Wau-wau-too-sa), a city in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, population 46,396 at the 2010 census. Wauwatosa is located immediately west of Milwaukee. It is named after the Potawatomi word for firefly. Author Adele Maria Wheeler (Graves) (1871 - 1964) was born in Appleton, Wisconsin, and died in Milwaukee. Seller Inventory # SP12-0561-5854
